Centre Ivanhoe between 7 p.m. and 12 p.m. - Hot and Cold Platters Served
with Beer Wine and Soft Drink. Cost is $60 head and tables of 10 can be
booked, there will be high profile guests and entertainment. Businesses are needed
to donate new goods that can be auctioned as soon as possible.

Community Bank Opens: A Bendigo Community Bank branch is now open in Clifton Hill. The community bank model returns 50 per cent of profits to Bendigo Bank but pays dividends to customers and operates a community grants scheme.
Toy Library: Carrying an extensive array of toys, games and puzzles suitable for children aged 0-5 years is now open on Tuesday and Saturday mornings at the Clifton Hill Maternal and Child Health Centre located at the Hoddle street end of the Darling Gardens.

Take Steps Against Poverty: Oxfam Australia's Walk Against Want will raise money for its development work around the world on March 5.
Participants can choose between a 3km walk around Princes Park or a 9km walk around the Melbourne Zoo. The day will also feature free entertainment.

"The Northcote Unit of
the Victoria State Emergency Service is seeking potential volunteers who are
interested in assisting the community during times of emergencies. As an
SES volunteer, you will be involved in a range of activities including storm and
flood operations, searches, public relations activities and weekly training
nights.
We are seeking practical, committed people who are able to attend a minimum
requirement of training and are available to assist with emergency operations
and public relations activities as and when required.
If you are over the age of 18 and have a desire to assist the community and are
interested in learning new skills and experiencing challenging situations, then
you may wish to attend a new member information night for prospective members
which will be held in the coming weeks. If so, please email the Northcote Unit
